Focus – Ryde Imaging Group was formed more than 20 years ago under the name Ryde Photographic Club. Like many other camera clubs we have sadly suffered a loss of membership in recent years. In 2004 the club changed things to make it more up to date and to actively identify with digital imaging. The club had a new name, found an improved venue at Binstead Community Club and held it’s first Open Day in 2004 to attract more members.

The club now has a moderate membership of both men and women from a wide range of ages. Its regular twice monthly meetings at Binstead provide a valuable opportunity for amateur photographers of all levels of skill to take part in competitions, listen to expert advice and discuss all aspects of their hobby.

New members of any standard are welcome to come to our meetings and join with our friendly group in competition and discussion on all photographic subjects.

Our membership mostly use digital cameras and between us we have plenty of experience to share.

We recently joined the the Southern Photographic Federation and are currently in division 7 in the projected image leagues.
